History of Cook’s Communications:

In 1946, a young Air Force veteran named Don Cook founded Electronics Specialties Company, a small radio repair business. This radio repair company would later become Cook’s Communications. Don Cook was a pioneer in the communications industry and had a major impact on the wireless technology we know and use today.

A couple of major products spearheaded by Cook’s Communications include the “Cook’s Radio Pager,” one of the first mobile pagers imported in the United States from Japan, and the “Cook’s Radio Telephone,” a precursor to the cellular phones we use today. In 1987, Don Cook’s son Bob Cook took the reins, and under his leadership Cook’s introduced the FleetStat AVL product line which was sold through radio distributors across the U.S.

Today, Bob Cook’s children Laura Cook and Donna Lambert along with her husband Paul Lambert, continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of Cook’s Communications.
